How to become a certified nursing assistant in the U.S.
A certified nursing assistant is a person certified to assist people with medical needs under the supervision of a nurse or nurse assistant. The terminology and requirements, including testing procedures vary from country to country. In the U.S., you assume the names as a Certified Nursing Assistant (NAC), Registered Nurse Aid (stna) or Registered Nursing Assistant (NA / R).
In the U.S., to become a certified nursing assistantthrough successful completion of training approved by the State. The Federal Government Nurse aide training regulations are in charge in the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 (OBRA 1987). A training program for aspiring nursing certificates can be officially recognized if there is at least 50 hours of theory and 100 hours of clinical training.
Upon successful completion of the training that will be entered in the register of the State of nursing aides. ToYour certification you must complete 48 hours of training every 24 months.
If you are enrolled in an approved training course for certified nursing assistants aspiring to acquire basic skills necessary to properly care for patients in nursing homes and domestic environments.
In a state where I have my certificate?
If you are a state were to accept your endorsement of another state, you have to put in a formal application. This process is called"Reciprocity applicant."
Remember that your consent in a particular state if you do not loose work as a certified nursing assistant for 24 months. If you want to keep the agreement of two or more states, we must find a way, the number of hours worked in these countries. A common minimum is 48 hours every 24 months. a payslip or letter of verification from the employer as proof of the work used.
